PRIVACY NOTICE

Privacy Notice

This notice explains how we handle personal information in connection with connectpoint.ai, and in particular how we use named business contacts for one-to-one correspondence about our private funding process.

Effective:8 September 2026
Last Revised:8 September 2026
Jurisdiction:Maritime / UAE & Global Fleet
ARTICLE 01

Who is responsible

The data controller for the processing described in this notice is:

ConnectPoint Capital Ltd

Registered in England and Wales, company number 17434174

27 Old Gloucester Street, London WC1N 3AX, United Kingdom

Email: [email protected]

ConnectPoint is the trading name of ConnectPoint Capital Ltd. We have a related company, ConnectPoint Limited (registration no. 01011554, Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates). Where that company processes personal data for its own purposes, it does so as a separate controller and this notice does not cover it.

We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer. We are not required to.

Our investor enquiry process at invest.connectpoint.ai has its own notice at invest.connectpoint.ai/privacy.

ARTICLE 02

Business contact and one-to-one outreach

We contact named professionals individually — investors, family offices, corporate decision-makers, and people working in the maritime and offshore industry — to introduce ConnectPoint and, where relevant, our private funding process. These are individual messages sent to people in a professional capacity, not bulk mailings.

What we hold

  • Name
  • Professional role or job title
  • Employer or organisation
  • Business contact details, usually an email address
  • The source we obtained the details from, recorded as a URL where applicable
  • Our correspondence with you
  • Where you have asked us to stop, the minimum record needed to honour that

Where it came from

From publicly accessible business sources — company websites, professional directories and public business listings — or from information you gave us yourself. Where we obtained your details from a source other than you, we provide a link to this notice no later than our first message to you.

ARTICLE 03

Purpose and lawful basis

We rely on our legitimate interests in identifying and approaching relevant business professionals about our funding process and our technology.

Our interest is in reaching a small number of professionally relevant people directly rather than advertising broadly. We limit what we hold to business contact details and the professional context that makes the approach relevant, we write to people individually, and we stop as soon as anyone asks us to. We consider that a proportionate approach to people contacted in their professional capacity — and your right to object, set out below, applies regardless of our view.

Where you send us an enquiry, we use your details to answer it. Where we need personal data to take steps toward an agreement with you, we process it for that purpose.

ARTICLE 04

Your right to object

You can tell us to stop at any time, and we will.

Reply to any message from us with the word unsubscribe, or write to [email protected]. We will stop contacting you for this purpose and add the minimum information needed to a suppression list, shared across every address we send from, so that you are not contacted again. You do not need to give a reason.

ARTICLE 05

Who else sees it

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for third-party advertising.

Your details are held in the standard business email and office software we use to send and store correspondence, and are seen by the small number of people working on this at ConnectPoint. We may also share information with our professional advisers where they need it to advise us, and with anyone the law requires us to.

ARTICLE 06

Access from outside the UK

ConnectPoint Capital Ltd is registered in the United Kingdom, and our director works from the United Arab Emirates. Personal data in this correspondence is therefore accessed from outside the UK, and some of the software we use stores data outside the UK.

We are documenting the safeguards that apply to that access. If you would like to know the current position for your own data, write to [email protected] and we will tell you.

ARTICLE 07

How long we keep it

  • Contact and correspondence records: for as long as our funding process is active, and for up to twelve months after our last contact with you, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
  • Suppression records: for as long as we continue any outreach, because keeping a record of your objection is the only way to honour it. We keep only the minimum needed for that.
  • Anything we must keep by law: for the period the law requires.
ARTICLE 08

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, object to our use of it — including where we rely on legitimate interests — and ask for it in a portable form where that applies. Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

Write to [email protected]. We will respond within one month. If your request is complex or you have made several, we may extend that by up to two further months, and we will tell you if we do. There is no charge in the ordinary case.

If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or to the supervisory authority where you live. We would rather you raised it with us first, but you do not have to.

ARTICLE 09

Automated decisions

We do not make decisions about you by automated means that have legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not profile you for this purpose.

ARTICLE 10

Changes

If we change how we use your information we will update this notice and change the date at the top. Where a change is significant and we hold your email address, we will tell you where it is practicable to do so.
